Hey guys, happy Saturday! My name is Madi Silva. I’m a six-year camper, and this is my fourth year on staff. As we begin to wrap up our week, we started our morning with scrambled eggs, bacon and blueberry muffins. After breakfast we headed outside for morning watch. The story provided different pieces of advice to live a life of happiness. This morning watch pulled together all the elements of this weeks theme.  

We spent our last full day participating in some of our favorite camp traditions. Small groups met for their last time and participated in strength bombardments and a guided meditation which we call faith wandering. Kind words were exchanged between new and old friends and time was spent reflecting on the amazing week we shared together. 

Together as small groups we enjoyed lunch outside, we ate some burgers, waffle fries and popsicles. After  lunch was the Farewell Line (many campers love this part of the week).

The Farewell line is an event where the entire camp comes together to say goodbye and thank each other for an amazing week. Many share hugs and some give high fives. Soccer balls were kicked around and frisbees were thrown while waiting for the line to finish. 

We then gathered for our graduation where we celebrated our amazing 18 seniors and their next chapters. These seniors brought so much love and leadership this week and will do amazing things as they continue on.

We then went on to hand out our 2026 Camp Awards. These are nominations by campers and staff to recognize how individuals shined throughout the week. Aidan Duffy then went on to announce the winner of the Color Team Cup. After many color team games and competitions, the winner of the Color Team Cup was ORCHID!! The camp director, Tom Remson then went on the thank the staff for all their hard work and dedication to making this week possible. 

We have been having so much fun all week and had time to relax by the waterfront before dinner. Campers played lawn games, swam at the water pier and used paddle boards and kayaks during this time. Then followed a classic turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and a chocolate ice cream cup. 

To end our night, campers got ready and took pictures on the waterfront for our Consecration Service. The service was led by Rev. Brian Craig and the senior class. The service included scripture readings, messages, music and an explanation of our memento of this year’s camp. The memento this year is a patch with the word camp and the different elements within. Being together under the stars was truly a special moment. 

After the service ended, Senior High moved on down to the council ring for messages from five of our seniors. They shared stories about their camp and youth group memories along with advice for their peers. John Fiander played many of our camp favorites by the fire. Our Junior High campers used glowsticks and did the wave to make a ripple. They then wrote on rocks what we will bring home with us from camp (Love, kindness, etc.), we then put them in a pool of water to create a ripple effect. 

To close out our night, the seniors led us in the Lord’s Prayer. We wrapped up a beautiful day under the stars feeling so grateful for the memories and friends this week brought us.
