Health Center and Staff

Camp Robindel has a Health Center/Infirmary for campers that aren’t feeling 100%.  The facility has several sick rooms for campers who are under the weather.  Parents will be notified by our medical staff if a camper needs to spend the night in the Health Center or requires a visit to see a doctor at a local urgent care or hospital.

We have at least one nurse on-site as well as a parent focused on overall well-being.  The health center staff stay on-site in the Health Center and are always available.

We don’t take safety lightly. While we do everything we can to avoid accidents, we would be remiss to say they never happen. When they do, campers have highly skilled medical staff to take care of them. In the unlikely event of a severe medical emergency, the camper will be transported to a local hospital to be professionally treated.

Medication at Camp

All medications brought to camp must be in original containers and will be kept in the Health Center. Neither campers nor staff are allowed to keep any medication in their cabin, including vitamins and over-the-counter medicine.

All medication MUST be documented with the specified dosage on the Medical/Release form.

The week prior to the camp, we will organize a Medication Drop-off Night to collect all camper medications and make updates to the camper Medical/Release forms if required.  This is also a chance to chat with a camp nurse, well-being officer, or other administrator about specific questions or needs for your child.

At camp, campers will go to the Health Center at prescribed times to take any required medications.
